The Life Group Leader

Mission of a LIFE Group Leader

A Peace Portal Church Life Group leader is a committed Christian who prayerfully responds to God's call to serve a group of 5 to 15 people by assisting, equipping, supporting and encouraging group members to mature in Christ, to minister to one another and to be involved in specific ministries to which the Holy Spirit calls them to.

Qualifications of a LIFE Group Leader

  • Prayerfully responds to God's call to serve.
  • Supports the doctrine, the vision and the ministry of Peace Portal Alliance Church.
  • Is a church member or is willing to consider membership of PPAC.
  • Willing to develop leadership qualities by participating in the leadership development program of the church.
  • Willing to complete the leadership application form and to participate in an interview re the church doctrine, vision, Care Group philosophy, etc.
  • Willing to assist in the leadership development program by mentoring an apprentice.
  • Willing to take responsibility for leading all aspects of a Care Group.

Steps to be Taken Re the Leading of a LIFE Group

  • Pray for God's guidance re a leader's role.
  • Contact the Care Group coordinator informing him of your interest.
  • Enroll in a Care Group leadership inservice program.
