Peace Portal LIFE Group Mission

A Life Group experience at Peace Portal Alliance Church connects people relationally in groups (5 to 15 individuals) for the purpose of growing in Christlikeness, loving one another and contributing to the ministry of the church in order to glorify God and to make disciples of people in our community and in the world.

Elements of a LIFE Group

  • Building meaningful relationships for meeting needs within and outside the group.
  • Experiencing the power of prayer and worship.
  • Developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Discovering, developing and using spiritual gifts.
  • Discovering and applying God's Word.
  • Developing leaders from within the group by the apprentice model.

Facts About LIFE Groups

  • Meet in homes throughout the church community.
  • Meet weekly or bi-monthly.
  • Meeting usually lasts from one and a half to two hours.
  • Meetings available on most nights.
  • Leader is carefully selected and trained.
  • Best time to join - September and January.

  • Youth Group - Junior and Senior High
  • Young Adults - Post High School and Young Marrieds
  • Single Parents
  • Men's
  • Ladies'
  • Couples
  • Mixed Ages
  • Age Related
  • Prayer

 

Basic Member Commitments

  • Plan to attend regularly with a goal of 100 per cent.
  • Plan to contribute or to become involved with the group and members of the group.
  • Plan to pray for one another.
