outreach opportunities

The church exists in the world for the world. Just as the Father sent Jesus and Jesus sent the Spirit, so we have been sent into the world to serve our neighbors in love. That service takes many forms—seeking justice, offering compassion, verbal proclamation of the Gospel, environmental action, education, feeding the hungry, visiting prisoners… and a host of other ways to reach out to others in need.

At Peace Portal we are striving to be a church that makes a noticeable difference in our community and world. If you have a vision for serving outside of the church walls, we would love to hear from you. More than that, we would desire to come alongside to partner with you as you work out what it means for you to be a ‘sent one.’

local outreach

Alpha: How on earth do we share our faith with others? Alpha provides an easy answer: “Just ask them to dinner.” This 12 week program is a non-threatening opportunity for any person to come and explore the meaning of life and engage with the claims of the Christian faith. Programs run through the Fall (Sept-Nov) and Winter (Jan-Mar).

international outreach

Peace Portal is actively working in other parts of the world that are in dire need. Our desire is for our local church family to be aware of need and contribute to furthering the gospel and providing holistic help to the poor and needy through a host of ministry initiatives. We also strive to facilitate those in our congregation to respond to the call of God on their lives.

Throughout the year, opportunities are provided to help the church family become aware of The Christian & Missionary Alliance mission initiatives, our missionaries and other efforts sponsored by organizations represented both in and out of our church and denomination.

short-term trips

A short-term missions trip is a great way to serve people in love. These experiences are also great learning experiences that can help transform our Christian lives and make us more like Jesus. Our International trips have different focuses including building, evangelism, relief & development, and medical. Interested?
