Women's Ministries

At Peace Portal, we have several programs specially designed to meet the unique needs of women. Please join us weekly at one of these times if you can, or on occasion at one of our special events for women.

Morning break

Join us for inspiring Bible study, coffee, and fellowship every Tuesday morning beginning January 12 at 9:00am in the cafe. Cubbies (Bible based program) is in full swing for children 3 & 4 and child care for little ones 2 and under.

1 JOHN – facilitated by Betty Hunt
The Apostle John wrote the book of 1 John to reassure Christians in their faith and to counter false teachings. He presents God as Light, as Love, and as Life.  He explains in simple and practical terms what it means to have fellowship with God. Be encouraged in your daily walk.

HEART FOR THE HOME – facilitated by Sandy Russell
The family is God’s idea and His design. This class looks at the practical application of “how to do it” in our busy everyday lives.  It is designed around the idea of women thinking and sharing together. The topic this term is based on the study, “Mom to Mom Hard Talk” by Linda Anderson.

LADIES DROP-IN – facilitated by Heather Friesen
If your schedule makes it hard for you to commit to come each week, but you still want to fellowship with ladies in a friendly, safe environment, then this is the group for you. A devotional is shared along with discussion and prayer time.

PEACEMAKERS - facilitated by Kiara Irwin
We all face friction in our daily relationships. Do you normally respond by flight or fight? Did you know that you can glorify God in the middle of conflict? Enjoy learning God’s principles and putting them into practice in your every day relationships.

THE BOOK OF JAMES – facilitated by Lee Serediuk
Study the Word of God and connect with other women in a more intimate, small group setting. We will learn to put feet to our faith and discover how the Word of God can be applied in our lives - changing our actions and attitudes so that we can make a difference.

FOUNDATIONS FOR LIVING – facilitated by Susan Driedger
Whether you are exploring the Christian Faith or you’re a mature Christian desiring to grow, these studies will equip and challenge you. Through small group interaction and personal application, you will develop caring friendships and become equipped to live a purposeful life.

LIVING BEYOND YOURSELF – facilitated by Linda Best and Lindy Nice
This class started in September. We have been studying the “Fruit of the Spirit” through a Beth Moore DVD series. We are understanding that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the fruit on your own. We need to maintain an intimate relationship with the Spirit of God.
