WORSHIP SERVICES

Experience a sense of community. Hear teaching relevant to the culture we live in and true to God’s Word. Listen to ordinary people tell of the extraordinary touch of Jesus on their lives. Share in the Lord’s Supper, witness heart-felt baptisms and sing corporate songs of worship and praise.

One of the first things we hope you'll encounter when you come to Peace Portal is a sense of warmth, welcome, and yes, peace too. Peace Portal is comprised of people with a wide variety of backgrounds, but our common purpose while we gather for services is to experience healthy Christian community, all in the context of decidedly gathering in God's presence, and being changed by that.

We believe that worshipping God (both personally and together), is our highest priority. Therefore, our services are crafted to include singing, prayer, sharing the ways God is working among us, and studying God's Word together. We believe that studying God's Word together is critical for leading us into spiritual maturity and serving others.

WORSHIP SERVICE STYLES

Our services, though different in flavor from one another, share common values of authenticity, sincerity, and giving our best without being showy. Because different people in our culture relate to God in different ways, we currently offer two different services on a Sunday.

In the First Service (9AM), you will experience a contemporary feel, with music that has a mix of new songs and time-honored hymns. There are often visits from a choir or other special presentations.

In Glimpse (11:15AM), there is a more casual style. The music is consistently more modern, and instead of performed songs, multimedia presentations are more common.
We invite you to join us in corporate worship each Sunday during one of our service options.

SPECIAL SERVICES

Occasionally there are additional services such as extra seasonal services (Christmas, Good Friday, etc.) and special services featuring Guest speakers, Missions emphases, Old Time Hymn Sings and age-specific events. These will be highlighted in the events sections of this website and in the weekly church bulletin. Keep your eyes open for some very special times you won’t want to miss.
