Experiential worship is one of the core values of Peace Portal. Therefore, it is the goal of the Worship and Arts department to plan services and events which give glory to God, and facilitate people having a meaningful encounter with Him.
Our desire is to celebrate the Lord in creative ways. It is not uncommon to find us using drama, music, visual arts, video, or humour to creatively enhance our worship experiences.
Visual Arts Group
An open, comfortable environment for visual artists to develop their craft in mutual Christian encouragement and inspiration. Artists come together to work in their own media of choice, and rub shoulders with other creative people. Held Saturdays, 3:30 pm Bldg. 5 Contact: Melody Buchwitz

Joyful Motion is an energetic dance-training program, which was birthed at Peace Portal several years ago. Led by skilled dance instructor Joslynn Pickard, children and young adults are given the opportunity to learn dance skills ranging from hip hop to lyrical dance.

Drama Group
At present, there is no formal drama group at Peace Portal. However, it' on our radar screen... so stay tuned!
Seasonal Events
At key times of the year, Peace Portal prepares a variety of artistic events for both church and community that step outside the normal bounds of our regular meeting times. These events involve the hands and hearts of many and include our Annual Christmas Dinner and Musical Outreach, Christmas Eve Services, and Easter Musical. Such experiences not only utilize many gifts, but build the church, and reach out to the broader community. We need people with all kinds of skills and interests - handymen, writers, painters, hosts, ushers, promoters, actors, musicians - you name it, we can probably use you! We also host opportunities to equip people in some of their areas of interest and service, such as our conference for local worship leaders, entitled "Reflecting the Creator... Celebrating Christ Through the Arts".
